Meet Your Instructor

Rene Sallee

Founder and Instructor, Sallee Equestrian

Rene Sallee brings more than 30 years of hands-on equine experience to Complete Equine Studies. Her experience spans horse handling, training, daily care, and management, working with horses of different temperaments, abilities, and needs. These years have developed her practical understanding of horse behavior, communication, and the judgment responsible horsemanship requires.

As the founder and instructor of Sallee Equestrian, Rene teaches beginner riders, homeschool students, and families how to work with horses safely and confidently. She makes complex concepts understandable, helping students connect what they learn to what they observe in the horse.

Rene created CES to bring that experience into a structured equine science and horsemanship curriculum. Through engaging lessons and guided Horsemanship Labs, students gain a deeper understanding of horses—and a foundation for thoughtful handling, informed care, and continued learning.
